This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Service and repair commercial generators located on cell phone towers within the designated region.
• Maintain generators by diagnosing and resolving issues, as well as installing and replacing components or entire systems.
• Carry out maintenance and upgrades on equipment not in use during off-seasons.
• Conduct performance evaluations and routine maintenance on generators.
• Interpret and adhere to blueprints and design specifications for installation and repair tasks.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, along with other necessary components.
• Test equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Respond swiftly to power/generator alarms.
• Promptly address assigned phone calls and emails.
• Operate safely around hazards linked with power supply equipment, switchgear, and other machinery.
• Utilize safety equipment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Attend and engage in scheduled safety and training meetings.
• Perform additional tasks as dictated by business and client requirements.
• At least one year of extensive work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
• A minimum of two years of experience in generator maintenance is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of generator installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate proficiency in computer skills.
• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
• Ability to adhere to OSHA standards.
• Capacity to lift over 50 pounds, and perform tasks such as stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Proficiency in inspecting and/or troubleshooting equipment and alarms effectively, both visually and audibly.
• Willingness and ability to travel long distances and work during day, evening, or night shifts.
• Openness to working overtime, responding to emergency callouts, and being available on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to accept 24-hour on-call duty when assigned and remain away from home for extended durations.
• Must pass a DOT physical examination.
