Yiddish Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Timely engagement in interpreting sessions while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.

• Accurately convey concepts and meanings in accordance with established interpretation protocols, ensuring no omissions or additions.

• Articulate clearly in both languages, employing proper pronunciation, enunciation, and courteous expressions.

• Uphold a professional attitude throughout all interpreting sessions.

• Maintain composure during interpreting sessions, particularly in urgent situations such as 911 calls.

• Adhere to client instructions to comply with protocols, ensuring that the expectations of Limited English-speaking Persons (LEP) are met.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both Yiddish and English.

• Strong skills in listening, retention, and note-taking.

• Preferably, educational background or work experience in language-centric fields such as teaching, language assessment, translation, or interpretation.

• Ability to adapt to any enhancements in LLS technology that improve service delivery and fulfill client needs.

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
