Yardi Systems Administrator, Commercial Retail CRE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for all matters concerning Yardi Voyager (Commercial/Retail module) and its integrated applications (such as CommercialCafe, Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting).

• Oversee user provisioning, custom security roles, workflow approvals, and system menus to maintain data security and compliance.

• Lead the technical onboarding, data migration, and configuration of newly acquired commercial retail properties into the Yardi database.

• Monitor, test, and execute Yardi system updates, plug-ins, and new module implementations, ensuring uninterrupted daily business operations.

• Assist the property management and accounting teams with intricate, retail-specific configurations, including Common Area Maintenance (CAM) setups, tax and insurance reconciliations, and recovery configurations.

• Supervise the technical configuration and execution of Percentage Rent parameters, gross sales tracking, and variable retail leasing structures.

• Resolve system errors related to retail lease administration, tenant billings, and recurring charge schedules.

• Design, develop, and maintain custom reports and dashboards utilizing Yardi Spreadsheet Reporting (YSR), Yardi Correspondence, or SQL/SSRS to aid executive decision-making.

• Partner with asset management and finance teams to enhance data flow, automate manual processes, and ensure data integrity across all portfolios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• Yardi Expertise: A minimum of 3–5 years of direct administration experience specifically with Yardi Voyager Commercial/Retail. *(Applications with only residential or multifamily experience will not be taken into account.)*

• Industry Knowledge: Strong grasp of commercial real estate accounting principles, commercial lease logic, and retail recovery mechanics (CAM, recurring charges, overage rent).

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Yardi database structures, database mapping, and creating custom reports (YSR, Yardi Script, or basic SQL queries).

• Preferred/Nice-to-Have:

• - Experience with Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting (ABF).

• - Experience in implementing or managing CommercialCafe or tenant portals.

• - Previous experience in a commercial real estate investment, asset management, or development firm.

• Soft Skills:

• - Strong analytical troubleshooting abilities—someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges.

• - Outstanding communication skills with the capacity to convey complex technical terminology into clear business insights for non-technical team members.

• - Self-driven and comfortable acting as the primary Yardi expert within the organization.
