Red Hat Linux Systems Administrator – AIML

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, track, and sustain Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux servers in both production and staging environments.

• Conduct system upgrades, kernel enhancements, patch management, and performance optimization.

• Enforce and oversee user access, security protocols, and backup/recovery plans.

• Diagnose and address hardware, OS, and network-related challenges.

• Manage configuration and deployment processes using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or equivalents.

• Continuously monitor system health and resource usage to ensure maximum uptime and performance.

• Work alongside DevOps and Cloud teams to provision environments (AWS, Azure, or on-premises).

• Ensure server hardening, SSH settings, SSL certificate management, and compliance with OS-level security standards.

• Engage in capacity planning, disaster recovery efforts, and incident response initiatives.

• Develop and uphold comprehensive system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and audit records.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Linux system administration (Ubuntu & Red Hat).

• Proficient in Bash scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Shell, or basic Python).

• Familiarity with monitoring solutions such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.

• Strong grasp of networking principles (DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, firewalls).

• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, KVM, Docker, etc.).

• Excellent problem-solving abilities with respect to system logs, kernel problems, and service outages.

• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipeline methodologies.

• Experience with cloud technology platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.

• Strong documentation and communication skills; capable of supporting international teams.
