This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and compose detailed explainers, reviews, and “best-of” list articles.

• Produce quick-turnaround daily personal finance stories aligned with current news and seasonal trends.

• Leverage data to guide priorities for the MoneyWatch vertical and refine content strategies.

• Enhance headlines and copy for search engine optimization (SEO).

• Revise and manage a repository of existing articles.

• Collaborate with the senior editor and managing editor on content planning and calendar organization.

• Engage in broader strategic discussions with partners.

• Craft insightful commerce articles for CBS News’ MoneyWatch: Managing Your Money vertical to boost revenue through clicks and conversions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of writing experience, ideally in business, personal finance, or affiliate marketing (lead generation).

• Proficient in writing clear, concise, and accurate content within deadlines while upholding CBS News standards.

• Capable of interpreting data and metrics to inspire story ideas and assess performance.

• Familiarity with affiliate marketing and a solid understanding of the industry.

• Business-oriented mindset and adeptness in utilizing content to generate revenue.

• Strong comprehension of sponsored content and affiliate links.

• Experience in optimizing content for search engines.

• CPE certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
