World Language, Chinese Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for developing and executing curriculum within Ethos online learning platforms, assisting students in achieving success in AP Exams.

• Conduct regular synchronous sessions (at least ten times per semester).

• Facilitate and assess all assignments promptly (within 24-72 hours).

• Submit final course grades following discussions with lead faculty and/or program director by the Ethos deadline.

• Establish consistent communication with students at least three times a week, either individually or in groups, to enhance learning.

• Regularly update students and their families about classroom activities and student progress.

• Manage student behavior to ensure full engagement from every student.

• Recognize individual student needs and collaborate with team members to effectively address those requirements.

• Proactively inform supervisors of any declines in students’ grades and/or engagement levels.

• Participate actively in mandatory job-embedded professional development courses aimed at fostering continuous improvement in the teaching and learning process at Ethos.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area is required; a master’s degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience is necessary, with a preference for AP experience in the subject area.

• Experience as a Reader or Tablet Leader for College Board in reading AP Exams is preferred.

• Prior online teaching experience is strongly preferred.

• A current teaching certificate in Secondary Education is required.
