Working Student – Data Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Construct Python and SQL pipelines that gather, transform, and validate data from APIs, databases, and files.

• Create data models and transformations tailored for analytics and AI applications.

• Implement data quality checks, automated testing, and monitoring processes.

• Analyze pipeline failures and enhance logging and troubleshooting mechanisms.

• Contribute to cloud data platforms and lakehouse initiatives.

• Document your work and collaborate effectively through Git, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Assume responsibility for real tasks from the very first day.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in computer science, data science, business informatics, mathematics, or a related field.

• Practical experience with Python, databases, and data pipelines.

• A thoughtful approach to debugging and a readiness to ask questions.

• Proficient English communication skills.

• Familiarity with AWS, dbt, Airflow, Docker, Snowflake, Databricks, and Apache Iceberg.

• Availability for 15–20 hours per week.
