Data Engineer – IGA Analytics, Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets that support identity lifecycle management, entitlements, access certification processes, joiner/mover/leaver activities, and compliance workflows.

• Create and sustain semantic models, establish data relationships, develop DAX measures, and produce reusable reporting components.

• Collaborate with ETL engineers to comprehend Azure Synapse data pipelines that generate parquet datasets from SailPoint SQL sources.

• Ensure incoming parquet datasets are validated for completeness, accuracy, and suitable structure for reporting purposes.

• Work alongside stakeholders to collect reporting requirements, design prototypes, refine key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure dashboards align with mission objectives.

• Implement data quality validation checks and refresh monitoring to guarantee accurate and timely reporting results.

• Ensure reporting aligns with governance, audit, and Zero Trust standards in collaboration with IGA, cybersecurity, and operations teams.

• Document semantic models, business logic, data lineage, and visualization standards.

• Suggest improvements to datasets, transformations, and visualization methods.

• Convert intricate identity and entitlement datasets into dashboards that provide insights for leadership, compliance reporting, access governance visibility, and Zero Trust metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active Secret Clearance at a minimum; interim Secret Clearances are not acceptable.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field along with 8 years of experience, or a combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience equivalent to that requirement.

• DoD 8140 certification (Security+ CE or a higher certification) is required.

• Proven hands-on experience in designing Power BI dashboards and semantic models.

• Proficient in DAX, Power Query, data profiling, and best practices in visualization.

• Understanding of relational SQL concepts and the ability to read and interpret upstream data structures.

• Familiarity with Azure Synapse, data lakes, and parquet datasets.

• Capability to collaborate with ETL developers to ensure datasets are prepared and aligned with reporting requirements.

• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex data relationships to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in documenting reports, models, and data flows.

• Familiarity with DoD identity ecosystems, authoritative identity governance, and enterprise ICAM modernization initiatives.

• Understanding of identity governance metrics, role/entitlement models, access reviews, and certification reporting.

• Exposure to Python, Spark, SQL, or data transformation scripts.

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for Power BI deployment pipelines.

• Knowledge of Zero Trust analytics, audit reporting, or enterprise compliance frameworks.

• Travel required is less than 10%.

• Must undergo identity verification using biometrics and AI; candidates must be on camera during virtual interviews.
