This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, assess, and pursue opportunities with state workforce agencies, labor departments, and economic development organizations.
• Conduct discovery processes, manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, create proposals, navigate procurement procedures, and finalize deals.
• Establish trusted relationships throughout the buyer organization — from program directors and workforce commissioners to procurement leads and deputy secretaries.
• Collaborate closely with team members responsible for RFP strategy and policy to ensure our responses are precise, distinctive, and accurate.
• Remain informed about state budget cycles, policy priorities, federal funding channels (WIOA, TAA, and others), and competitive landscape.
• Extensive understanding of the state workforce ecosystem — including agency structures, purchasing processes, success metrics, and key influencers.
• A substantial network in workforce development, state labor, or economic development that you can leverage.
• Knowledge of state government procurement processes: RFPs, sole-source agreements, MSAs, and the informal dynamics that drive decision-making.
• Ability to navigate long sales cycles (6–12+ months) and the discipline to manage a pipeline that may not progress rapidly.
• Strong consultative skills: you pose insightful questions, listen attentively, and align solutions with real problems rather than focusing solely on features.
