• Assist in the development and implementation of a Broker Distribution strategy aimed at achieving new sales, retention, profitability, and expense targets.
• Achieve yearly sales targets set by the RVP of Broker Distribution.
• Collaborate with Workforce Benefits Distribution resources to effectively present the Workforce Benefits narrative to the broker community.
• Continuously enhance, deepen, and expand relationships with brokers.
• Conduct a required number of broker meetings each week with designated brokers.
• Generate a sufficient pipeline of RFPs each month.
• Cultivate and strengthen local broker connections to boost sales and elevate the Pacific Life brand in your region.
• Display expertise in the group products offered by Pacific Life.
• Maintain strong relationships with underwriting, product, pricing, regulatory compliance, and actuarial pricing teams to ensure alignment on key deliverables with your broker partnerships.
• Leverage established and innovative methods, tools, and partnerships to facilitate effective, intentional, and robust growth objectives.
• Adopt a customer-first approach: prioritize the perspectives of customers and brokers in decision-making processes.
• Engage in ongoing industry and community activities to remain updated on industry trends.
• Represent the company as necessary in legislative forums, industry events, and community engagements.
• Carry out other job-related responsibilities or special projects as required.
• Over 5 years of experience in group benefits sales, with a well-established presence in the broker market.
• A college degree with a focus on business management, finance, or risk management, or equivalent work experience is mandatory.
• A strong ability to seek out and evaluate data from various sources to support decisions and align others with the organization’s strategic goals.
• An entrepreneurial and innovative mindset geared towards developing new ideas that challenge the status quo and expand the organization’s capabilities within the industry.
• Capacity to solicit feedback from others, process it effectively, and take calculated risks.
• A high level of integrity, acting transparently and consistently while always prioritizing the organization’s best interests.
