This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute tasks related to Workers Compensation, subrogation, and recovery while adhering to claims handling guidelines and established Best Practices.
• Identify opportunities for subrogation by reviewing loss information and First Notice of Loss (FNOL) data.
• Notify carriers regarding subrogation matters.
• Perfect the lien and maintain communication with claimants and their legal representatives.
• Gather documents from clients that support subrogation efforts.
• Submit subrogation demands.
• Facilitate subrogation recovery.
• Establish reserves, record recoveries, and monitor financial aspects.
• Mentor team members on subrogation best practices to improve their technical expertise and efficiency.
• Work collaboratively with leadership and legal counsel on strategies for litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of college education, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in Workers Compensation Subrogation Recovery.
• Experience handling multi-jurisdictional workers' compensation subrogation.
• Knowledge of New York Labor Law and the New York Scaffold Law.
• Basic proficiency in email applications and standard office software (email, Word, basic Excel, PowerPoint).
