Workday Financials Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee one or more Workday Financials functional workstreams throughout the entire implementation lifecycle.

• Facilitate activities related to discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

• Convert business requirements into scalable Workday configurations that align with Solution Architecture and Workday best practices.

• Manage workstream deliverables, schedules, issue resolution, and client communications.

• Configure and supervise Workday Financials solutions across functional domains, including FDM, Core Financials, Procurement, Grants, Expenses, Banking, and Financial Reporting.

• Lead design sessions and prototype solutions in collaboration with client stakeholders.

• Identify how configurations influence interconnected Financials processes.

• Assist in testing, defect resolution, and deployment planning.

• Act as the main day-to-day client contact for assigned workstreams.

• Foster relationships with Finance, HR, Payroll, IT, and project leadership.

• Communicate risks, recommendations, and implementation decisions effectively.

• Create configuration documentation, workbooks, and testing materials.

• Ensure compliance with Meridian's delivery methodology and quality standards.

• Raise risks and propose practical solutions as needed.

• Assist with the transition to AMS and provide post-production support.

• Mentor Consultants and Associate Consultants; review their work products and provide guidance.

• Share best practices and reusable implementation resources.

• Engage in estimates, demonstrations, and pre-sales discussions.

• Support recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes.

• Contribute to the development of practice and enhancements in delivery.

• Help to broaden Meridian's capabilities in the public sector Workday space.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Workday Financials implementations.

• Valid Workday Implementer Certifications, with at least two certifications held.

• Strong proficiency in one or more areas, including Financial Data Model (FDM), Financial Accounting, Procurement, Grants, Financial Reporting, Expenses, Banking & Settlements, or Business Assets.

• Experience leading client design workshops and managing functional deliverables.

• At least 3 years of experience guiding functional workstreams through multiple full lifecycle Workday implementations.

• Ability to work standard East Coast hours.

• Must reside in the United States.

• Must have eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Preferred experience in public sector implementations (state/local government, higher education, or K–12).

• Record to Report certification is preferred.
