This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Act as the main administrator for Workday Financials and serve as the daily support contact for the Finance team, effectively triaging and resolving configuration challenges, user requests, and system inquiries with high responsiveness and quality.
• Identify and resolve configuration issues within Workday Financials across various modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and/or Banking & Settlement.
• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to collect, document, and convert business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions.
• Assist in delivering enhancements, launching new features, and implementing process improvements in Workday Financials, overseeing all stages from requirements gathering to testing and change management.
• Engage in Workday's semi-annual release cycles by reviewing release notes, evaluating functional impacts, coordinating user acceptance testing, and managing deployment processes.
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate and current system documentation, which includes configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials.
• Work in partnership with the wider Enterprise Systems team on cross-functional initiatives that involve Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, Integrations, and third-party connected systems.
• Collaborate with Finance leadership to support strategic goals such as process automation, reporting enhancements, and scalability initiatives aligned with company growth.
• Serve as a liaison between Finance and IT, ensuring that system modifications are implemented with proper controls, testing rigor, and minimal disruption to financial operations.
• Oversee support tickets and project tasks through a structured intake and prioritization process, proactively communicating status and expectations to stakeholders.
• Practical experience with Workday Financials configuration and support, ideally in a business analyst or functional analyst role.
• Extensive knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, with the capability to configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security independently.
• Proven ability to manage daily Finance operations while also contributing to project-based work and strategic initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills — adept at navigating competing priorities, managing expectations across both Finance and IT, and communicating effectively at all levels.
• Solid understanding of fundamental finance and accounting principles (GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, expense management) and their implications for Workday configuration.
