Forward-Deployed Product Manager – FDPM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collect and Clarify Requirements

• Collaborate directly with clients to comprehend business needs and challenges

• Convert those needs into clear, prioritized requirements for engineers

• Manage the Client Relationship

• Serve as the primary point of contact for client interactions throughout onboarding, scoping, and delivery

• Proactively oversee expectations, timelines, and feedback loops.

• Assist Internal Teams

• Offer context and clarity to engineers to facilitate smooth delivery. Ensure alignment between what was requested, what’s being developed, and what’s being delivered.

• Create Repeatable Patterns

• Identify common client needs and aid in formalizing templates, documents, or processes to expedite future deployments.

• Help enhance internal handoff processes, requirement intake, and communication strategies.

• Influence the Product Roadmap

• Synthesize recurring customer insights into strategic themes, prioritized high-impact features, and propose a data-driven roadmap that supports Tailor’s vision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a Software Company

• Relevant experience in a SaaS, ERP, or composable software environment is preferred, especially with an understanding of modular solutions, low-code platforms, or customer-focused software deployments.

• At least 5 years in product management, solutions, customer success, or consulting roles with substantial client interaction

• Demonstrated capability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in managing customer relationships, translating business needs into actionable product requirements, and facilitating customer-driven product changes.

• Outstanding communication skills — you can simplify complex concepts and make them actionable.

• Organized and structured thinker who can reduce ambiguity

• Technically proficient enough to collaborate with engineers and ask insightful questions

• Residing in or willing to be frequently present in Los Angeles. Approximately 20% travel required.
