This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead or engage in comprehensive WMS implementations encompassing requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and go-live phases.
• Evaluate client warehouse operations and convert business requirements into efficient system configurations and process designs.
• Set up WMS solutions across essential warehouse functions such as receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
• Offer consultative advice on warehouse operations, utilizing practical operational experience to enhance process design, material flow, and overall warehouse efficiency.
• Assist in solution design for integrations with external systems (ERP, TMS, OMS, and automation systems), which includes data mapping and interface definition (EDI, XML, APIs, flat files).
• Configure and confirm interactions with warehouse technologies including RF devices, barcode scanners, printers, labeling systems, and material handling equipment.
• Create and implement test scenarios (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing) that align with real-world operational workflows.
• Aid in go-live planning and execution, covering cutover activities and ensuring operational readiness.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, Softeon teams, and third-party partners throughout the implementation process.
• Provide insights to product and engineering teams to improve solution capabilities and implementation effectiveness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering is highly preferred), Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of practical WMS implementation experience.
• Proven experience in converting business requirements into system configurations and functional designs.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution processes, including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
• Familiarity with system integrations (ERP, TMS, OMS) and various data formats (EDI, XML, APIs).
• Understanding of warehouse devices such as RF scanners, printers, and labeling systems.
• Proficient knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements as required, up to 50%.
