Windows QA Engineer, C# – Windows OS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement test strategies and testing scenarios for Windows-based applications and systems.

• Assess software packages, installations, upgrades, and configurations within Windows environments.

• Conduct QA validation on endpoint management solutions, including deployments of Microsoft Intune.

• Test and resolve issues related to Windows OS across Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.

• Assist in validating VM environments, which includes provisioning, configuration, and testing.

• Install, set up, and troubleshoot Hyper-V environments and virtual machines.

• Verify file system operations, permissions, and enterprise file management workflows.

• Execute regression, functional, and system testing throughout enterprise IT processes.

• Clearly document defects and collaborate with development teams to facilitate resolution.

• Support automation projects as needed to enhance QA efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience in QA Engineering with a strong background in the Windows ecosystem.

• Hands-on experience with Windows OS (10/11) and Windows Server environments.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune or similar endpoint/device management systems.

• Strong expertise in software packaging, installation, and troubleshooting.

• Experience working with virtual machines and virtualization technologies.

• Practical knowledge in the installation, configuration, and support of Hyper-V.

• Background in IT Helpdesk or Desktop Support roles.

• Comprehensive understanding of file systems, permissions, and enterprise file management processes.

• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with test automation tools or scripting, preferably PowerShell.

• Familiarity with Azure-based environments and cloud-managed endpoints.

• Exposure to security practices, patching, and vulnerability assessment.

• Experience in enterprise IT settings supporting multiple users/endpoints.
