Wind Turbine Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Scheduled Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance activities, including lubrication, filter replacements, and inspections, to ensure turbines adhere to operational standards.

• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems on wind turbines utilizing specialized tools and technology.

• Component Replacement: Swap out faulty components such as blades, gearboxes, and electrical systems.

• Data Logging: Gather and document turbine performance data, maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, and adjustments.

• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, policies, and procedures, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and fostering a safe work environment.

• Travel: This position involves travel, necessitating frequent journeys throughout Italy and possibly to other countries within Europe.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems pertinent to wind turbines.

• A degree or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related fields is preferred. Equivalent work experience is also acceptable.

• At least 2 years of experience in the wind industry or similar industrial sectors.

• Proficiency in both Italian and English is mandatory.

• Capability to climb wind turbines, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities with the capacity to diagnose and rectify complex issues.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with a focus on achieving outcomes.

• A valid driver’s license is required due to the travel demands of this role.
