
Wind Turbine Blade Repair Technician, Level 3 – Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Examine and document both internal and external damage to blades, including photographic records and comprehensive reporting.
• Execute coating and structural repairs on blades, covering leading/trailing edges, tips, and internal parts, in accordance with engineering standards.
• Operate at heights of up to 300 ft using rope access or platform systems.
• Accurately complete and submit service reports and Daily Work Reports (DWR) utilizing mobile systems.
• Review and provide repair documentation to the Operations and Engineering teams.
• Communicate the site's progress and any issues with internal teams and clients.
• Assist with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures on wind turbine generators.
• Aid in site setup, including the coordination of labor and materials.
• Carry out rigging and de-rigging tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and engage in hazard assessments and safety meetings.
• Possession of Full GWO Certification (BST, ART, BTT).
• Additional Certifications (preferred or required, depending on the project): Arc Flash / NFPA 70E, Confined Space & Rescue, WHMIS, Respirator Fit Testing, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), IRATA or SPRAT Rope Access Certification.
• Experience in blade repair, composites, or related mechanical work.
• Strong mechanical skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Comfortable working at heights and in diverse weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Capability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Canada.
• Physically fit to perform job responsibilities.
