This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Conduct local travel within the hub.
• Ensure optimal performance and output at the wind site.
• Engage in turbine operations, safety protocols, quality control, and warranty repairs.
• Fulfill contractual obligations and daily tasks involving electrical and mechanical equipment utilized in GE wind turbine generators.
• Execute maintenance, repair, or replacement of components to rectify malfunctions.
• Diagnose intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable and variable-speed turbines.
• Assist in all facets of site operations as directed by the manager, with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols.
• Carry out diagnostic electrical assessments.
• Record all activities using computer-based service reporting systems.
• Collaborate with and respond to GE’s remote operations center as needed.
• Partner and communicate with the Site Lead and Manager to fulfill contract requirements and timelines.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associate’s Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience.
• Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills.
• Must possess and uphold a valid driver’s license.
• Capability to manage repetitive weights of up to 50 lbs. and ascend towers as high as 300 feet daily.
• Must adhere to specified manufacturer weight limits not exceeding 300 lbs., inclusive of required gear.
• Willingness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry environments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on contract obligations.
• Initiative to work independently without direct supervision.
• Flexibility to accommodate rotating shift schedules and on-call requirements as needed by the site.
• Occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
