Wind Hub Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with site and hub leadership to fulfill contractual obligations in accordance with customer expectations.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, or part replacements to resolve malfunctions.

• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch and variable speed turbines.

• Assist in various aspects of site operations as directed by the manager, adhering to all safety protocols with minimal supervision.

• Carry out some diagnostic electrical assessments.

• Record all work completed using computer-based service reporting systems.

• Coordinate with and respond to GE’s remote operations center as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• At least 1 year of experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic, or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy, or 2 years of electrical work experience.

• Successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment.

• Basic computer proficiency is necessary.

• A valid driver's license must be obtained and maintained.

• Capable of handling repetitive weights of up to 50 lbs. and climbing towers up to 300 feet on a daily basis.

• Must meet specified manufacturer weight restrictions, which should not exceed 300 lbs including any required gear.

• Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments, including but not limited to industrial, manufacturing, and power industry settings.

• Effectively prioritize tasks in line with contract obligations.

• Must possess the initiative and ability to work independently without direct supervision.

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and be on-call as per site requirements.

• Occasional overnight stays may be necessary based on hub requirements.
