This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Support the execution of training events for TEA and partner organizations, including state, federal, non-profit, youth corps, and Department of Defense lands.
• Deliver a blended curriculum that incorporates both virtual (instructor-led online) and experiential (hands-on) learning.
• Educate participants on 'non-traditional' soft skills during NWCG courses, such as self-care/stress management, conflict resolution, anti-bullying, and active bystander techniques.
• Provide training for underserved and underrepresented groups, including people of color, women, landowners, and individuals from the Department of Defense.
• Oversee work assignments with minimal supervision from managers.
• Occasionally participate in prescribed fire operations and/or offer support to a prescribed fire Incident Management Team (IMT) during training events.
• Contribute to fostering a kind, safe, and healthy work environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion for all individuals.
• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Must be qualified as at least a Single Resource Boss, and FAL2 if instructing for an S-212 course.
• Completion of M-410 or an equivalent teaching credential, with the ability to serve as the lead instructor for 100 and 200-level NWCG courses.
• Proven experience in delivering National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) classes both in-person and virtually, including S-130/190 and S-212.
• Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and a passion for teaching.
• Proficient understanding of common software applications, such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
