This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborates with the Public Engagement (PE) division and engages with various teams.
• Aids in the development and activation of the Oxfam Action Network for an Equal Future and other supporters through activations, leadership development, and advocacy efforts.
• Plans and implements public-facing events and physical activations aimed at recruiting new Action Network members.
• Identifies, recruits, and supports diverse groups of volunteers and Action Network members.
• Creates training materials and online/offline collaborative spaces for Action Network members.
• Works in partnership with the Campaigns and Resource Development teams to ensure a cohesive supporter journey.
• Evaluates engagement and volunteer data to enhance targeting and retention strategies.
• Certifications in relevant fields, an Associate’s degree, ongoing studies toward a Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of education and work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in community organizing, volunteer coordination, or supporter engagement, particularly in areas of social justice, advocacy, or policy change.
• Proven track record in identifying, recruiting, and supporting volunteer advocates to organize and mobilize others.
• Experience in planning and executing public actions, campaigns, or brand activations.
• Proficiency in digital engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Goodkind, Mobile Commons, Microsoft Suite, email/SMS tools, etc.).
• Exceptional interpersonal, writing, and facilitation skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects at once.
• Creativity and the knack for finding innovative approaches that capture attention and resonate with diverse audiences.
• A commitment to implementing feminist principles and anti-racist practices in organizing efforts, including the proactive identification and addressing of injustices we may perpetuate.
• Ability to represent Oxfam across various settings and with a wide range of audiences.
• Sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to foresee challenges and follow through effectively.
• Capacity to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional remote team.
