
Weekend Virtual Urgent Care/Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider β NP or PA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Provide virtual telehealth acute care to members experiencing emergent or critical illnesses.
β’ Assess and diagnose acute illnesses and complex medical conditions.
β’ Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary.
β’ Develop care plans, prescribe suitable medications, and evaluate the quality of care interventions.
β’ Evaluate social, home health, and durable medical equipment requirements.
β’ Coordinate care with primary care physicians, specialists, pharmacies, clinical nursing staff, social workers, family members, and caregivers.
β’ Utilize the electronic health information system for consultations and offer feedback to enhance the user interface.
β’ Participate in weekend on-call coverage in specified regions to assist clinical nurses.
β’ Support new clinical or organizational programs and initiatives as the role evolves.
β’ Incorporate innovative practices in virtual care.
β’ Minimum of three years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.
β’ Ideally experienced in acute settings, urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or internal medicine with a focus on acute management.
β’ Willingness to work three 12-hour shifts weekly, including weekends, from 8am to 8:30pm EST.
β’ Nurse Practitioners must possess active and in-good-standing RN and APRN licenses.
β’ Physician Assistants must hold an active and in-good-standing Physician Assistant license.
β’ Required role licensure and certification must be maintained in good standing.
β’ Capability to obtain licenses in specified states within 90 days of hire and secure additional state licenses as necessary.
β’ Experience in primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, and/or geriatrics.
β’ Familiarity with conducting visits via telehealth video platforms.
β’ Experience managing acute or chronic disease exacerbations, such as CHF, diabetes, COPD, and hypertensive emergencies.
β’ Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is an advantage.
β’ Strong enthusiasm for continuing acute care practice.
β’ Flexibility, eagerness to learn, adaptability in scope of practice, and readiness to face new challenges.
