Web Developer, Digital Optimisation Specialist - 12-Mos Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain responsive websites, landing pages, and web forms.

• Oversee CMS themes, plugins, integrations, updates, backups, and regular maintenance.

• Track website uptime and resolve technical issues across roughly 50 websites.

• Enhance page speed, usability, accessibility, conversion rates, and mobile responsiveness.

• Implement technical SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) best practices.

• Utilize analytics and performance data to suggest and enact improvements.

• Lead projects for website redesign and enhancements.

• Enhance user experience, customer journeys, conversion rates, navigation, content presentation, and functionality across various travel and holiday brands.

• Apply UX best practices, insights into user behavior, and analytics data to maximize customer engagement and online inquiries.

• Address website helpdesk requests from local trading brands in Australia and New Zealand.

• Engage with non-technical stakeholders and provide timely progress updates.

• Document resolutions, updates, and recurring issues.

• Assist with website migration, digital transformation, and ongoing website optimization projects.

• Ensure the stability, performance, security, and exceptional user experience of websites.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–4 years of professional experience in website development.

• Solid experience in managing multiple websites.

• Demonstrated experience in leading website optimization initiatives.

• Understanding of UX/UI principles, customer journey mapping, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

• Ability to reconcile technical requirements with marketing, branding, and customer experience goals.

• Strong sense of ownership and effective communication with stakeholders.

• Advanced expertise in WordPress and CMS platforms.

• Familiarity with SEO, GEO, analytics, and performance optimization strategies.
