Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Create, design, and maintain websites and software applications.

• Develop, compose, and revise website content.

• Undertake tasks using web applications, scripts, programming languages, and APIs.

• Collaborate with the Director to plan enhancements to existing websites.

• Outline design and functionality improvements.

• Choose community plugins and built-in features to implement desired functionality.

• Collaborate with the team to establish a unified product roadmap.

• Evaluate software needs by consulting with the user community.

• Provide developer-level assistance to the user community.

• Create technical reference documentation for website management.

• Engage in regular meetings regarding project status, planning, partnerships, and strategy.

• Act as a vital member of the team.

• Attend professional conferences and meetings.

• Travel to meet with the larger development team at least once a year.

• Travel biannually to the Language Technology Conference.

• Extensive knowledge and expertise in web development.

• Proven experience in website development and SEO.

• Demonstrated proficiency in website development.

• Proven skills in SEO.

• Proficient in WordPress, HTML, and CSS.

• Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, web applications, and web services.

• Experience with APIs, scripts, and programming languages.

• PHP coding abilities are advantageous but not mandatory.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong organizational abilities.

• Capacity to make timely decisions.

• Ability to generate various solutions to problems.

• Quick learner of technical concepts.

• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.

• Proficient at multitasking.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
