Web Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain WordPress websites, including custom themes, page builder implementations (Elementor, WP Bakery), content modifications, and troubleshooting.

• Accurately execute designs by ensuring responsive layouts, interactive elements, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Operate within a headless WordPress framework, linking WP as a CMS to a separated front-end interface.

• Assist in transitioning to a contemporary static-site front end (Astro preferred, but familiarity with Next.js, Nuxt, or similar frameworks is a plus).

• Enhance site performance and Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) through caching, image optimization, and adherence to best practices.

• Create landing pages and conduct experiments for paid marketing campaigns.

• Provide support for integrations including forms/CRM, call tracking, analytics, pixel/tag setup, and server-side tracking.

• Aid in the implementation of technical SEO strategies, such as schema, redirects, sitemaps, indexation challenges, and internal linking.

• Diagnose and resolve issues across various environments, addressing plugins, theme conflicts, hosting peculiarities, DNS, and SSL.

• Collaborate effectively within a team environment utilizing tickets, code reviews, QA checklists, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional experience in web development.

• Strong background in WordPress, including custom themes/components, page builders, and hands-on troubleshooting is essential.

• Practical experience with headless WordPress (decoupled CMS plus front-end framework) is mandatory.

• Proficiency with Astro or a similar modern static/SSR framework (Next.js, Nuxt, SvelteKit, etc.) is required.

• Solid skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a familiarity in modern responsive design implementation.

• Knowledge of performance optimization, basic accessibility, and production debugging techniques.

• Must be available for work from 9am to 6pm EST.

• **Bonus Skills**

• Experience with React for front-end components or microsites.

• Proficiency in Python with a web framework (Django, Flask) for small services or automation tasks.

• In-depth knowledge of technical SEO, including structured data, crawl/indexation troubleshooting, and log-based analysis.

• Experience in hosting and operations, including WP Engine, Kinsta, Cloudflare, and VPS configurations.

• Skills in analytics instrumentation, such as GTM, GA4 events, conversion APIs, and call tracking platforms.

• Experience in creating reusable WP blocks/components (Gutenberg) or custom plugin development.
