This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Work collaboratively with the development team to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of web applications utilizing Node.js, React, and Java.
• Aid in the implementation and integration of RESTful APIs, microservices, and third-party services to boost application functionality.
• Acquire knowledge and contribute to optimizing database structures and queries using AWS DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Gain experience with AWS Lambda functions for serverless architecture and event-driven programming.
• Contribute to the establishment of automated testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes to ensure software quality and deployment efficiency.
• Obtain exposure to the configuration, customization, system integration, design, and development of Gosu and/or Jutro coding within the Guidewire Cloud environment.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of integrations between Guidewire Cloud and external systems utilizing APIs and/or web services.
• Engage in troubleshooting and debugging activities, under the mentorship of senior developers, to identify and resolve issues.
• Participate in mapping data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics to ensure data quality within the data warehouse.
• Take part in identifying and resolving issues related to databases and data structures within the data warehouse.
• Contribute to addressing data-related challenges concerning systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform integration within the data warehouse.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure compliance with coding standards, best practices, and Agile development methodologies.
• Stay updated with Guidewire Cloud advancements, best practices, and industry trends.
• Basic knowledge of web development concepts and technologies, which may include one or more of the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, React.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and fundamental collaborative development workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to learn and adapt quickly to emerging technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and develop within a collaborative development environment.
• Ability to achieve certification (or currently certified and current) as an Associate InsuranceSuite Developer on the Guidewire insurance cloud platform within six months; ongoing certification (Professional / ACE) may be necessary at a later stage.
