Warranty Analytics, Performance Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead collaborative efforts across various functions to enhance warranty performance by utilizing aligned metrics, shared insights, and actionable analyses of product and warranty data.

• Define and implement the data strategy for warranty operations, focusing on reserve forecasting, accrual processes, and overall performance enhancement.

• Collaborate with finance and actuarial teams to perform quarterly warranty reserve reporting and analysis, guaranteeing accurate financial reporting and effective risk management through comprehensive data collection, statistical modeling, and adherence to accounting standards.

• Advocate for data-driven methodologies to measure, monitor, and report warranty performance throughout the organization.

• Develop and refine reporting tools, performance frameworks, and data visualizations to enhance transparency, consistency, and decision-making support.

• Set performance goals, projections, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to steer warranty operations and monitor progress against business objectives.

• Strengthen warranty analytics for dealers and distributors, delivering regular strategic reports to assist field warranty performance managers.

• Lead the execution of the annual warranty operating plan, including management of accruals and quarterly reserve processes.

• Oversee the annual audit process to ensure compliance with Trane Technologies requirements and external audit standards.

• Partner with Product Growth, Quality, and Reliability teams to communicate warranty trends, share insights, and support initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.

• Identify and implement opportunities for productivity enhancements that improve efficiency and yield measurable warranty performance gains.

• Manage the systems, tools, and datasets that back the warranty organization and facilitate effective reporting and analysis.

• Contribute to broader strategic business initiatives and special projects as designated by leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of analytics experience is required; relevant HVAC, sales, and/or warranty experience is preferred.

• At least 3 years of team leadership experience is preferred.

• Proficient in analytics tools such as Dataiku, Alteryx, and Tableau.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic perspective on warranty policies, processes, and tools.

• Effective collaboration and influence skills across the organization to achieve positive business results.

• Excellent communication capabilities, able to engage with business leaders across all functional areas, including Senior Leadership.

• In-depth knowledge of data management and financial sensitivity.

• Ability to evaluate the cost/benefit of product modifications concerning productivity and warranty.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
