This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• The Manager Solutions Design plays a crucial role in fostering the growth of our Supply Chain Solutions and Dedicated Transportation Solution offerings by developing, designing, and acquiring new business.
• Crafting solutions that provide financial benefits to our Customers.
• Delivering practical designs that align with the needs of our Customers.
• Overseeing a subset of SD team members or serving as an independent contributor.
• Assisting awarded business during the startup phase, effectively transitioning design and proposal assumptions to Operations and SCE CI resources through the Customer Due Diligence process.
• Establishing and managing project milestones, scheduling and leading team calls, overseeing team deliverables, and ensuring effective communication among all team members as the solution evolves.
• Partnering with the Sales leader to formulate a winning strategy.
• A Bachelor's degree is required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the Transportation industry or in Warehousing and/or Manufacturing is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential.
• Advanced knowledge of visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft) and database programming is required.
• Expertise in effective metrics programs and designing sustainable, measurable networks is necessary.
• In-depth understanding of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks is required.
• Familiarity with all types of available equipment, including dry van, temperature control, flatbed, and other specialized equipment is essential.
• Extensive knowledge of Warehouse Management operations, data analytics, Industrial Engineering, various warehouse types (ambient, temperature control), warehouse layout/design, and Lean methodologies is required.
• Required knowledge of material handling solutions and automation types, including powered industrial truck (PIT) applications, racking and storage solution designs, packaging equipment, conveyor and sortation equipment, and other automation solutions.
