Senior Python Engineer, Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for backend features and enhancements, overseeing the process from design to implementation, deployment, and production support.

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable, high-performance backend services utilizing Python and Django.

• Establish and maintain integrations with external systems, such as KYC, geolocation, payment partners, and other third-party services.

• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to define and deliver new integrations.

• Implement observability across integration workflows, encompassing monitoring, logging, and alerting.

• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability, prevent regressions, and enhance overall testing coverage and practices.

• Provide support for production issues and engage in on-call rotations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of development experience, with Python as the primary programming language and substantial expertise in API and system integrations.

• Demonstrated experience in integrating third-party APIs, with a thorough understanding of webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling. **Experience with Payments and KYC integrations is a significant advantage.**

• Proficiency with observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production integrations.

• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and concurrency.

• Experience in designing the architecture of high-load and scalable solutions.

• Comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and production monitoring.

• Willingness to take part in on-call rotations.
