VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with specific industry vocabulary, particularly in healthcare and medical fields—training will be provided.

• Deliver all messages accurately and completely, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Uphold the highest standard of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for acquiring new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (source language) and a native speaker of "Tetum" (target language).

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, but not required.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
