VRI/OPI Interpretation Vacancy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry you will be interpreting in (specifically healthcare and medical). Training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during the interpretation process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Apply established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Karen".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience at a reputable interpretation company is advantageous but not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Awareness of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are an advantage (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
