VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mongolia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you will be interpreting (particularly healthcare and medical). Training will be provided for this.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or replacing any information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during the interpreting process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Mongolian".

• Over 1 year of telephone interpretation experience at a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, but not required.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is beneficial, though not essential.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications related to the healthcare industry are advantageous (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• A high school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
