This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Conduct clinical expenditure analysis to pinpoint sourcing, standardization, and cost-saving opportunities within designated product categories.
• Create comprehensive pricing comparisons, utilization assessments, and supplier benchmarking to support category strategies.
• Aid in baseline development and savings calculations for sourcing initiatives, adhering to value capture standards.
• Analyze data from distributors, manufacturers, and GPOs to uncover pricing inconsistencies, contract compliance issues, and leverage opportunities.
• Assist in clinical sourcing events, such as RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, by preparing bid structures, supplier lists, evaluation scorecards, and analysis templates.
• Review supplier proposals for pricing, service levels, clinical equivalency, and contractual terms.
• Support Category Managers in formulating negotiation scenarios, cost models, and trade-off analyses.
• Document sourcing recommendations and prepare materials for stakeholder and clinical review discussions.
• Facilitate supplier evaluations, including product conversions, supplier performance assessments, and risk evaluations.
• Assist with contract documentation, pricing verification, and alignment with sourcing awards.
• Collaborate with contract stewards and legal teams to ensure sourcing outcomes are in line with approved terms and governance standards.
• Maintain sourcing documentation, audit trails, and supporting analyses.
• Utilize sourcing and procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP, or similar platforms) to manage sourcing events, catalogs, and pricing information.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across sourcing tools, analytics platforms, and reporting outputs.
• Adhere to standardized sourcing processes and templates to promote repeatability, auditability, and quality.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing sourcing efficiency, data quality, and analytical methods.
• Support sourcing initiatives typically encompassing $25M–$100M+ in clinical expenditures.
• Operate independently on defined analytical and sourcing workstreams.
• Provide recommendations but do not possess final authority on supplier selection or negotiations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Over 15 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain analytics, or healthcare-related financial analysis, along with 8+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in supporting competitive sourcing events and supplier evaluations.
• Preferred experience in healthcare, hospital, or clinical product sourcing environments.
• Familiarity with medical surgical, implant, pharmaceutical, or clinical equipment categories.
• Experience working with GPO contracts and manufacturer pricing structures.
• Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex pricing, utilization, and supplier data.
• Knowledge of clinical sourcing fundamentals, including standardization, equivalency analysis, and contracting models.
• Proficiency in Excel and spend analytics tools; comfortable handling large datasets.
• Ability to interpret commercial contract elements related to pricing, rebates, and compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convert analysis into actionable insights.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
