VP, Strategic Finance, FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the planning and performance cycle for Achieve and its business units, encompassing budgets, forecasts, and outcomes.

• Lead forecasting initiatives based on drivers related to volume, unit economics, credit, funding costs, and operating leverage.

• Conduct monthly business reviews with variance explanations.

• Modernize planning, modeling, and reporting systems to ensure data integrity and a centralized source of truth.

• Convert strategy into funded and measurable initiatives.

• Manage strategic initiatives from start to finish and outline growth pathways for leadership and the board.

• Assess M&A opportunities, partnerships, and product unit economics.

• Execute scenario and stress testing in collaboration with Capital Markets.

• Prepare materials for the board, KPI frameworks, and executive dashboards.

• Oversee covenant tracking across various debt facilities.

• Assist with audit processes and 409A valuations.

• Collaborate with Capital Markets and Accounting on funding and capital matters, including loan sales, ABS transactions, and liquidity planning.

• Direct daily treasury operations, focusing on cash management and warehouse line planning.

• Build, lead, and mentor talent in FP&A and strategic finance.

• Establish operational rhythms that align strategy with execution.

• Work collaboratively across functions on ROI, budgets, accounting closures, financial insights, and model governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of senior-level experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.

• More than 4 years of experience leading teams.

• Background in scaled fintech, consumer lending, or financial services related to lending, payments, or similar sectors.

• Proficient understanding of consumer credit economics.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Expertise in financial modeling, advanced Excel/Sheets, SQL, and BI tools.

• Familiarity with GAAP as it pertains to forecasting, including CECL, fair value, and gain-on-sale.

• Strong foundation in corporate strategy, valuation, and enterprise modeling.

• Knowledge of capital markets, warehouse, and securitization frameworks.

• Executive presence with experience in communication with senior executives, boards, and investors.

• Ability to influence both internal operators and external partners.

• H1-B Visa transfer or sponsorship and STEM-OPT Visa facilitation are not available.
