VP, Strategic Finance – FP&A

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the planning and performance cycle for Achieve and its business units, Freedom Debt Relief and Achieve Lending.

• Spearhead driver-based forecasting that encompasses volume, unit economics, credit, funding costs, and operational leverage.

• Conduct monthly business reviews accompanied by variance analyses.

• Modernize the systems for planning, modeling, and reporting.

• Translate strategic objectives into funded, quantifiable initiatives.

• Oversee strategic initiatives from conception through to execution.

• Outline growth pathways for leadership and the board.

• Assess M&A opportunities, partnerships, and product unit economics.

• Execute scenario and stress testing in collaboration with Capital Markets.

• Prepare materials for the board, including KPI frameworks and executive dashboards.

• Manage covenant tracking across various debt facilities.

• Assist in audit processes and 409A valuation tasks.

• Collaborate with Capital Markets and Accounting on loan sales, ABS transactions, and liquidity strategies.

• Oversee daily treasury operations, including cash management and warehouse line planning.

• Build, lead, and mentor a team in FP&A and strategic finance.

• Establish operational rhythms that align strategy with execution.

• Work across functions to foster accountability for ROI and budget management.

• Partner with Accounting on financial closings and perspectives.

• Set model governance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of senior experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.

• At least 4 years of experience leading teams.

• Experience in scaled fintech, consumer lending, or the financial services industry, particularly in lending and payments.

• Strong understanding of consumer credit economics.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

• Proficiency in advanced financial modeling, Excel/Sheets, SQL, and BI tools.

• Familiarity with GAAP principles affecting forecasting, including CECL, fair value, and gain-on-sale.

• Background in corporate strategy, valuation, and enterprise modeling.

• Knowledge of capital markets, warehouse, and securitization structures.

• Experience in communicating with senior executives, boards, and investors.

• Possess executive presence and the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external partners.
