VP, Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the strategic finance rhythm throughout the automotive portfolio, encompassing forecasting, performance management, KPI reporting, operating reviews, and executive-level decision support.

• Develop operating models that extend far beyond a simple budget, incorporating scenario planning, retention and cohort economics, cash flow and working capital, unit economics, return frameworks, and capital allocation strategies.

• Collaborate directly with leadership teams of portfolio companies to transform analysis into actionable operating recommendations, identifying necessary changes, areas of focus, and conditions for successful implementation of plans.

• Oversee and facilitate M&A activities across the vertical, which includes acquisition modeling, due diligence, synergy assessment, integration planning, financing considerations, and the roadmap for value creation post-acquisition.

• Create high-quality materials for boards and investors, assist in establishing finance standards throughout the portfolio, and elevate the performance expectations for analysts and colleagues through targeted feedback, precise writing, and robust modeling discipline.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 10+ years of pertinent experience in strategic finance, operating finance, corporate development, investing, investment banking, FP&A, or accounting with a focus on commercial finance.

• Exceptional financial modeling skills and a strong comfort level in managing operating models from start to finish.

• Previous experience with acquisition, merger, or merger company models is highly advantageous.

• Excellent writing and communication abilities are essential.
