VP, Senior Audit Manager – Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Reports directly to the Head of IT Audit

• Develop, influence, and implement a cutting-edge IT Audit strategy across Synchrony

• Lead a team of IT Audit professionals

• Drive thorough and adaptable Audit activities, encompassing audit universe, risk assessment, audit plan development, audit execution, MRA validation, continuous monitoring, and sharing of best practices

• Supervise and manage Audit Managers in the planning and execution of Technology audit engagements

• Collaborate with India Leadership to identify emerging risks while providing insights on risk themes and trends

• Support continuous monitoring initiatives related to Technology

• Oversee the planning and execution of audits, including audit scoping, establishing audit objectives, defining audit test steps, conducting audit fieldwork, and drafting audit reports

• Present audit findings to various levels of internal audit leadership, as well as to the business organization

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in technology, business, or finance

• A minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in audit or a risk management role, or at least 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a technology-related field with 9+ years of audit experience

• 5+ years of experience in technology audit, controls, operations, and/or compliance

• 2+ years of recent experience in managing, supervising, and mentoring team members

• 2+ years of recent experience leading projects and motivating teams

• Possession of CISA/CISM/CPA/CIA/CRISC/CISSP certifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, including oral communication, business writing, presentation, and facilitation abilities

• Understanding of business technologies and their impact on the control environment

• Experience in auditing or managing operating systems and database technologies

• Familiarity with data center controls

• Extensive knowledge of internal auditing standards and requirements as outlined by IIA and ISACA
