This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the domain technology roadmap, including current-state evaluations, target-state architecture, capability mapping, and organized transition plans that align with enterprise investment cycles.
• Lead architecture governance by overseeing design assessments, architecture decision records (ADRs), and compliance standards within your domain.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to assess technology alternatives, establish integration patterns, and ensure solutions adhere to enterprise standards and long-term strategic goals.
• Define and refine the end-to-end architecture for the returns lifecycle, encompassing return initiation, routing, triage, refund orchestration, restocking, refurbishment, and secondary-market disposition.
• Design integrations across order management systems (OMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), inventory, finance, and carrier ecosystems.
• Work with Supply Chain, Store Operations, and Customer Care leaders to enhance return cycle times, recovery values, and cost-to-serve metrics.
• Define and advance the target-state architecture for unified commerce, ensuring a seamless experience for customers and associates across both digital and physical channels.
• Architect the landscape for POS and store operations, including modernization strategies, cloud-native POS solutions, and applications for associates.
• Design omnichannel fulfillment architecture, incorporating BOPIS, curbside pickup, ship-from-store, endless aisle, and store-to-store transfers.
• A minimum of 5 years of enterprise architecture experience in consumer-facing retail, with familiarity in areas such as store systems, omnichannel, supply chain, or reverse logistics.
• Demonstrated experience in managing technology roadmaps, capability maps, and architecture governance, including design reviews, ADRs, and standards.
• Proven capability to convert business strategies into target-state architectures, transition plans, and sequenced investment cases.
• Practical knowledge of at least one enterprise architecture framework, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or ArchiMate.
• A solid technical foundation in cloud platforms (preferably Azure), microservices, APIs, event-driven integration, and data architecture.
