This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assume complete responsibility for the Product and Engineering departments.
• Engage with customers to shape the product roadmap and drive execution.
• Manage the product roadmap from customer discovery through prioritization, specification, and delivery.
• Conduct regular customer interviews in collaboration with Sales and Energy Markets.
• Maintain a well-structured, transparent roadmap that is aligned with leadership.
• Demonstrate products to prospects and customers in conjunction with Sales.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers and product managers.
• Establish an engineering rhythm through sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, timely delivery, and accountability.
• Oversee a scalable and secure technology architecture capable of 24/7 mission-critical operations.
• Make informed decisions regarding build-vs-buy-vs-partner and manage outsourcing relationships effectively.
• Take charge of platform unit economics, including hardware BOM and cloud infrastructure expenses.
• Maintain strict delivery timelines while proactively identifying blockers and risks.
• Provide regular updates to the board and leadership on the roadmap, milestones, and team performance.
• Set standards for the team's utilization of AI tools within a mission-critical dispatch platform.
• Over 5 years of experience as VP of Product, VP of Engineering, CTO, or in senior technology leadership roles at a high-growth company.
• Demonstrable product management experience with a focus on owning roadmaps, conducting customer discovery, and making prioritization decisions under pressure.
• Proven track record of timely product delivery and establishing operational structures in fast-paced environments.
• Strong instincts in system architecture and the ability to create scalable platforms.
• Confidence in presenting and demonstrating products externally, translating technical capabilities into business value.
• Exceptional communication skills for board presentations, customer interviews, and engineering feedback.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote, early-stage environment where self-initiative is critical.
• Deep passion for technology and the energy sector.
• Preferred: experience with AI tools in daily work and opinions on their limitations and applications.
• Preferred: background in distributed energy, electricity markets, grid operations, or related industries.
• Preferred: familiarity with distributed generation assets, backup power systems, or DER platforms.
• Preferred: experience in hardware/software co-development and related unit economics.
• Preferred: undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
