Mobile Developer, React Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop new functionalities for two healthcare mobile applications, one designed for healthcare professionals and the other for patients.

• Enhance the performance of mobile applications and manage existing codebases.

• Collaborate on platform-specific integrations and features that require native coding in iOS Swift or Android Kotlin.

• Transition from simpler tasks to more complex projects, which include performance optimization, code refactoring, production debugging, and architectural enhancements.

• Utilize AI coding tools to troubleshoot issues, comprehend unfamiliar code, implement and review modifications, write tests, automate repetitive processes, and enhance workflows.

• Conduct critical assessments of AI-generated code and take responsibility for final implementations.

• Engage in asynchronous communication via backlogs, wikis, GitHub, Slack, and other text-based platforms.

• Articulate technical reasoning clearly, document technical choices, and work collaboratively with the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Proficient experience with React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Proven track record of working on production mobile applications.

• Strong grasp of mobile application states, navigation flows, transitions between background and foreground, authentication, networking, and state persistence.

• Familiarity with data libraries such as Apollo, React Query, or comparable tools.

• Knowledge of native development in Swift or Kotlin.

• Experience in debugging intricate issues across JavaScript and native layers.

• Proficient in using AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools within a real development context.

• Capability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated code.

• Strong skills in asynchronous communication and collaboration, primarily through text-based methods.

• Availability to work at least 4 hours of overlap with the core team.

• Experience with camera functionalities, file uploads, native bridging, Twilio, S3, Sentry, healthcare development, AI workflows, agents, skills, prompts, or development automations is advantageous.
