• The VP of Portfolio Operations serves as a senior, hands-on operator integrated directly within Andromeda's portfolio Business Units (BUs) — encompassing both established and newly acquired entities — to pinpoint, assess, and realize value throughout the operating model.
• This leader will engage on a rotational basis, dedicating three to nine months within a single BU, collaborating closely with the General Manager and their leadership team, and leaving behind measurable enhancements in margin, productivity, customer economics, and operational discipline before transitioning to the next assignment.
• This role is not classified as an audit position, consulting role, or turnaround function. It is fundamentally an operational role focused on value creation.
• The VP of Portfolio Operations is entrusted with the authority of the COO and the wider Andromeda leadership team to enter a business, diagnose areas of value leakage, devise strategies for improvement, and — crucially — collaborate with the BU team to enact the necessary changes.
• Success will be evaluated based on EBITDA, ROIC, and the sustainability of the improvements after this leader has moved on to the subsequent BU.
• More than fifteen years of progressive senior leadership experience in finance, FP&A, operations, or business transformation roles, including at least five years in positions such as VP, CFO, COO, or equivalent operating leader roles.
• A proven history of identifying and securing significant value (EBITDA, ROIC, working capital) within operating businesses — through pricing strategies, customer economics, productivity enhancements, cost management, working capital optimization, or post-merger integration.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills: capable of constructing, auditing, and challenging driver-based forecasts, ROIC frameworks, customer-cohort economics, and contract profitability models without reliance on delegation.
• Demonstrated experience in leading post-merger integration, synergy capture, or buy-and-build operational integration — comfortable working within a newly acquired business during the critical first 100 days.
• A track record of driving change within operating businesses through influence, credibility, and collaboration with the GM — rather than relying solely on positional authority.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept at presenting to GMs, Group Leaders, the COO, and founders of acquired companies with equal credibility and executive presence.
• Professional credentials such as CPA, CA, MBA, CFA, CBV, or equivalent are strongly preferred; a solid quantitative background is essential.
• Willingness to travel significantly and navigate the ambiguity inherent in a rotating mandate where each engagement is intentionally different from the last.
• Direct experience in vertical market software, enterprise SaaS, or other recurring-revenue B2B businesses is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with CSI (Constellation Software Inc.) or similar permanent-capital, decentralized, acquisition-focused holding company models — including their reporting practices, ROIC discipline, and operational philosophies.
• Previous experience as a divisional or group CFO, COO, or VP of Finance with operational responsibilities across multiple business units.
• Proficiency with contract pricing frameworks, rate card designs, and customer profitability analysis at scale.
• Practical experience in designing and managing shared services, FP&A transformation, or driver-based planning initiatives.
• Familiarity with modern finance and analytics tools — driver-based planning systems (e.g., Workday Adaptive, Anaplan), BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau), and AI/ML-enabled forecasting.
• A history of long tenure with previous employers — Andromeda seeks to invest in people for life and looks for leaders who share this philosophy.
• Full-time employees will have the opportunity to enroll in a diverse array of benefits, which include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, short/long-term disability, and 401(k) participation (with company match).
• The Company offers a minimum of 10 days of vacation for new hires, sick leave in accordance with state regulations, 8 Company-paid holidays, and 2 personal holidays each year.
