Director, Operational Excellence – EU & NA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive implementation and ongoing support of the Lean 4.0 initiative across EU and NA locations.

• Facilitate the integration of Lean principles with digital technologies to develop a contemporary, data-oriented operational framework.

• Guarantee the delivery of site diagnostics and three-year transformation plans.

• Convert global Operational Excellence and Lean 4.0 strategies into tailored transformation roadmaps for each site.

• Lead the introduction of standardized work processes, lean systems, and performance management frameworks.

• Establish tier management, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) systems, and systematic problem-solving methods.

• Propel cost reduction initiatives and identify savings opportunities at the site level in alignment with targets.

• Encourage the adoption of digital infrastructures, including paperless systems, digital logs, and data integration.

• Enhance Lean 4.0 competencies among site leadership and teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business; MBA is preferred.

• 12 to 18 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, operational excellence, or transformation roles.

• Extensive experience in Lean methodologies and Six Sigma (minimum Green Belt; Black Belt preferred).

• Demonstrated success in executing large-scale transformation programs across various sites and regions.

• Experience in digital transformation and Industry 4.0 projects within manufacturing settings.

• Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and regulatory standards.

• Proficiency in English, including speaking, understanding, reading, and writing, is essential.
