• As we expand, we seek a senior leader to oversee and enhance our patient engagement and recruitment efforts across our national site network.

• This individual will be responsible for developing the strategy, team, processes, and operational model that facilitate quicker connections between suitable patients and appropriate trials, while maintaining the personal, trusted experience that characterizes Profound.

• Currently, the majority of our patient recruiters are integrated within site teams, supported by a smaller, centralized team.

• This position will advance the collaboration between these models as we scale, bringing clinical research expertise, effective people leadership, and innovative problem-solving to our recruitment, engagement, and patient support efforts.

• This is a hands-on role designed for someone who thrives on growth, is comfortable with uncertainty, and is eager to build a patient recruitment function that is both exceptionally effective and profoundly patient-centered.

• Lead Profound’s patient engagement and recruitment strategy across various sites, studies, and therapeutic areas.

• Guide the ongoing development of Profound’s recruitment operational model, which includes embedded, centralized, and hybrid support, to enhance enrollment performance and patient experience as we expand.

• Create scalable strategies for patient identification, outreach, engagement, pre-screening, scheduling, and retention in collaboration with Clinical Operations.

• Set clear priorities, goals, and accountability frameworks for the patient recruitment function.

• Translate organizational growth objectives, study requirements, and site circumstances into actionable recruitment strategies.

• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Commercial, Study Startup, Quality, Clinical Systems, Finance, and People to ensure recruitment strategies are aligned, compliant, and executable.

• Oversee recruitment performance throughout the patient funnel, including lead quality, outreach effectiveness, pre-screening, scheduling, show rates, screening conversion, enrollment outcomes, and retention support.

• Establish the KPIs, dashboards, reporting schedules, and forecasting needed to enhance visibility into recruitment performance.

• Utilize data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and resource needs within the function.

• Direct study- and site-level recruitment planning for priority trials, ensuring the right strategies and resources are in place to meet enrollment objectives.

• Introduce structure and urgency to recruitment execution while remaining adaptable to the needs of various studies, sites, and patient demographics.

• Ensure that Profound’s recruitment methodologies embody a compassionate, service-oriented, and patient-centered approach.

• Enhance the patient journey from initial engagement through screening and enrollment in partnership with Clinical Operations.

• Develop strategies that improve access to clinical research for diverse patient populations and foster community-based recruitment.

• Identify ways to improve patient communication, follow-up, and retention without adding unnecessary complexity for sites or patients.

• Lead and nurture Profound’s patient recruitment team, including both embedded and centralized members.

• Foster a high-performing culture based on accountability, urgency, collaboration, compassion, and continuous improvement.

• Clarify roles, responsibilities, performance expectations, and career pathways within the patient recruitment function.

• Build the team structure, leadership capabilities, staffing plans, and operational methods necessary to support ongoing growth.

• Mentor and develop leaders and team members to enhance recruitment execution, patient communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Manage the recruitment process and technology roadmap in partnership with Clinical Systems, IT, and operational leaders.

• Identify opportunities to enhance consistency, visibility, efficiency, and scalability across recruitment workflows.

• Assess and implement tools, systems, vendor partnerships, and digital engagement strategies that boost recruitment performance and patient experience.

• Ensure recruitment processes comply with clinical research, privacy, IRB, and patient communication standards.

• Lead change management efforts related to recruitment processes, technology, operating models, and performance expectations.
