This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and manage a multi-year roadmap for referral growth that spans all partnership areas. Develop a unified measurement system that links FQHC referrals, partnerships within the food ecosystem, and community enrollment. Determine which channels are the most impactful based on market and population, and allocate resources accordingly.
• Take the lead in identifying and structuring new collaborations with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), Community Health Centers (CHCs), pharmaceutical organizations, hospital systems, FindHelp, UniteUs, and other platforms related to Social Determinants of Health (SDOH). These partnerships involve complex negotiations among multiple stakeholders and require a deep understanding of clinical workflows, procurement processes, and population health objectives.
• Act as a visionary leader and mentor for a high-performing team. Cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and ongoing professional development while strategically enhancing team capacity to accommodate future growth requirements.
• Provide executive oversight for Foodsmart's partnerships with food vendors and marketplace strategy, including relationships with national retailers (Walmart, Amazon, Instacart) and community-level food banks and SDOH organizations. Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Food Partnerships to develop a unique marketplace value proposition that increases member engagement and boosts referral volume.
• Supervise the Director of Community Engagement and a field team responsible for awareness campaigns and enrollment initiatives in densely populated markets. This area requires both operational accountability and strategic oversight, ensuring that community-level activation is linked to measurable enrollment results rather than just awareness metrics.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with distribution and channel partners, including supplemental benefit platforms (Soda Health, Nations Benefits), benefit management platforms (Lynx), and others, to facilitate access to new member populations at scale. This role requires knowledge of how benefit platforms price, structure, and distribute their services.
• Establish the operational framework for this team, including a shared CRM-based pipeline, performance tracking by segment, a partner health scorecard, and a reliable forecasting method for leadership. The VP will inject rigor and accountability into this function.
• Collaborate closely with the CGO, Chief Clinical Officer, product teams, and payer/provider sales teams to ensure partnership frameworks align with clinical quality standards, network necessities, and member experience expectations. Referral volume is only valuable if it translates into engaged and retained members.
• 12+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or growth leadership — with at least 6 years in healthcare, digital health, or related fields.
• Over 5 years of management experience with a proven ability to guide, mentor, and effectively enhance capabilities within expanding, high-performing teams.
• Extensive knowledge of the SDOH ecosystem, including FQHCs, CHCs, food banks, community health workers, and the platforms that connect them (FindHelp, UniteUs, etc.).
• Experience engaging with both institutional healthcare (payers, health systems, Medicaid/Medicare) and non-traditional partners (retailers, food companies, community organizations).
• A proven track record in building partnership ecosystems — not just managing existing ones — with measurable outcomes in referrals, enrollment, or revenue.
• Strong operational skills: you have developed pipeline management systems, conducted performance reviews, and held teams accountable for volume metrics.
• A background in management consulting is a significant asset for this role due to the complexity of the organizational design and market segmentation tasks involved.
• Bachelor's degree required; a Master's, MBA, or MPH is strongly preferred.
• Remote-First Company
• Unlimited PTO
• Flexible & remote location
• Healthcare Coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
• 401k & bonus
• Registered Dietitian Sessions
