This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• The Education Territory Manager will be tasked with implementing sales strategies to enhance revenue growth and profitability for Gumdrop and Brenthaven within the education sector, alongside overseeing a small inside sales team.
• Develop and execute a territory plan aimed at school districts, education service districts (ESDs), resellers, and state-level procurement groups.
• Cultivate a robust pipeline by engaging in outbound prospecting, promptly addressing inbound leads, and collaborating with channel partners.
• Recognize refresh cycles, funding opportunities, and device adoption trends (such as Chromebooks, iPads, and Windows devices) to focus on high-potential accounts.
• Direct all sales initiatives facing districts, including discovery calls, needs assessments, product demonstrations, pricing negotiations, and proposal submissions.
• Establish strong connections with District Tech Directors, CIOs, IT personnel, curriculum leaders, and procurement teams.
• Conduct training sessions for partners, assist with deal registrations, align pricing strategies, and share insights on competitive intelligence.
• Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and responses to RFPs with precision and urgency.
• Ensure weekly forecast accuracy while maintaining clean, current, and comprehensive CRM data.
• Foster trusted, long-lasting relationships with district leaders, reseller representatives, state education organizations, and key influencers.
• Monitor competitor products, pricing adjustments, and channel initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations to enhance samples, messaging, demand planning, and customer experience.
• Guarantee that schools receive outstanding service during and after the sale, including tracking, deployment support, issue escalation, and warranty comprehension.
• Consistently meet or surpass quarterly and annual revenue objectives for the education sector.
• Achieve key performance indicators: pipeline development, deal velocity, win rates, partner engagement, and forecast accuracy.
• 5-10 years of experience leading a remote inside sales team, demonstrating a proven record of achieving and surpassing goals.
• A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience within the education market, with a deep understanding of its unique dynamics in K12.
• Familiarity with Hardware Technology Resellers and Distributors.
• Comfort and confidence in presenting to executive leaders and influencing strategic business decisions.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of inspiring and engaging diverse audiences.
• Highly organized, proficient in territory mapping, pipeline evaluations, and performance management discussions.
• Strong data analysis skills, with experience in interpreting reports.
• Versatile in various sales strategies and methodologies.
• Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM tools to monitor sales progress and optimize processes.
• Energetic and motivated road warrior, eager to drive results across varied markets.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 60% for in-person engagement with customers, partners, and team members.
