This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the enterprise operating model and the operational standards across field operations and specialty service lines.
• Assist with P&Ls, revenue enhancement, margin objectives, expansion strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and annual operational plans.
• Drive operational performance improvements related to workforce planning, capacity modeling, crew design, routing, scheduling, labor productivity, technician utilization, and service economics.
• Develop and implement strategies for service-line growth, training, products, and market expansion.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Operations, Data & Analytics, IT, HR, and Marketing departments.
• Spearhead high-impact cross-functional transformation projects from strategy formulation to sustained implementation.
• Manage business standard work, Lean practices, Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and operational reviews.
• Create governance structures, reporting systems, KPIs, scorecards, dashboards, ROI metrics, and conduct post-implementation evaluations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and establish standardized best practices across branches, districts, regions, and markets.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and scalable best practices for scheduling, routing, job completion, and service delivery.
• Lead initiatives in shared services, specialization/centralization, cost reduction, and expansion into new markets.
• Maintain approved treatment materials and protocols, establish quality standards and audit mechanisms, and act as the senior technical authority on escalated diagnostics and damage incidents.
• Collaborate with IT on routing, scheduling, forecasting, mobile execution tools, AI-driven workforce optimization, and operational analytics.
• Guide change management processes through rollouts, communications, training, and addressing resistance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, pesticide application, quality, customer satisfaction, and retention standards.
• Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
• 10–15+ years of experience in operations, project/program management, consulting, or continuous improvement.
• Proven experience in multi-location or field-based leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives from inception to execution.
• Experience in managing or scaling operations or service lines with P&L implications.
• Strong operational and financial understanding.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and drive execution within a decentralized organization.
• Background in field services related to arboriculture, landscaping, seasonal décor, or other distributed field services.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Preferred: experience in direct-to-consumer, route-based service businesses.
• Preferred: experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is preferred.
• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Must be willing to travel 50% or more.
