VP of Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the company's budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and financial modeling processes.

• Provide actionable insights that link business performance to financial results.

• Spearhead scenario planning and assist in strategic decisions regarding growth, pricing, and investments.

• Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and ensure debt compliance.

• Enhance working capital and capital structure to facilitate sustainable growth.

• Create board and investor reports that effectively convey company performance and future outlook.

• Develop financial models and SaaS metrics that aid in strategic planning and fundraising efforts.

• Collaborate with leaders in Revenue, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Operations to inform business decisions.

• Assess new products, pricing strategies, go-to-market investments, and growth opportunities through a financial perspective.

• Build, lead, and cultivate a high-achieving FP&A organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, treasury, strategic finance, or corporate finance, including 5+ years in a VP, Senior Director, or similar leadership role.

• Experience leading finance in a private equity- or venture-backed SaaS company with recurring revenue, ideally within the $50M–$150M ARR/revenue range.

• Comprehensive understanding of SaaS business models, including subscription, usage-based, professional services, and other recurring revenue streams, with proficiency in financial modeling and revenue planning.

• Practical experience in treasury management, encompassing cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, debt facilities, covenant compliance, banking relationships, and working capital optimization.

• Expertise in financial planning, driver-based modeling, scenario analysis, and executive decision support.

• Experience creating executive and board reports focused on SaaS metrics such as ARR, CARR, EBITDA, NDR, GDR, LTV/CAC, unit economics, and other vital business KPIs.

• Advanced proficiency in contemporary finance technologies, including FP&A platforms, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools.

• NetSuite experience is preferred.

• Proven history of building, managing, and developing high-performing FP&A or strategic finance teams.

• Outstanding analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for translating complex financial data into straightforward business recommendations.

• CPA, MBA, or CFA preferred, but not mandatory.

• Candidates must possess authorization to work in the United States for any employer without restrictions and be residents of the United States.
