Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Process and Insights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and mapping of the enterprise FP&A process throughout planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles.

• Create standardized process frameworks that enhance consistency, scalability, traceability, and transparency.

• Initiate process redesign efforts to rectify gaps, inefficiencies, and fragmented workflows.

• Identify business requirements that align FP&A processes with planning platforms, ERP systems, and data technologies.

• Synchronize FP&A processes and data models with analytics, automation, predictive modeling, and AI initiatives.

• Provide executive dashboards, KPIs, and standardized performance reporting across regions and business units.

• Spearhead governance, assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at ensuring process integrity, standardization, and automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in FP&A, business analytics, or finance transformation.

• Proven application of analytics, transformation, and technology enablement within finance organizations.

• Proficient in Anaplan, Power BI or Tableau, Snowflake, and Advanced Excel.

• Experience in leading automation or digital finance initiatives.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Capacity to influence at the executive level.

• Experience in global and cross-functional settings.

• Proven track record in developing scalable planning processes, governance frameworks, and insight models.

• Background in collaborating with Finance, Accounting, Data, and Technology stakeholders on process and data alignment.

• Familiarity with financial statement integration concepts related to P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow planning processes.

• Experience in defining and monitoring KPIs for process effectiveness and maturity.

• Background in standardizing reporting frameworks across regions and business units.

• Experience in enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven insights through structured and connected data.

• Proven leadership of teams focused on process excellence, architecture, and insights delivery.
