VP of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the financial operations of a rapidly growing startup.

• Engage in forecasting and budgeting activities.

• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and payroll functions.

• Support hiring processes, benefits administration, and human resources tasks.

• Collaborate closely with the fund accounting and finance team.

• Deliver financial reports to the leadership team and the Board of Directors.

• Ensure compliance and reporting for State and Federal regulations.

• Implement accounting and various finance software systems.

• Manage the Capitalization Table.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, including accounting, FP&A, and systems.

• Proven experience in a rapidly scaling fintech environment.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Proficient background in financial modeling and projections.

• Advanced user of Excel and Google Sheets, with experience in modern finance tools.

• Understanding of the complexities of accounting in startup investments.

• A proactive mindset to address any opportunities or challenges.

• Capable of devising and utilizing logical solutions for complex issues.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; strong organizational and time management skills are essential.

• Preferred: interest and experience in the venture capital industry.
